The following instructions will configure MS Outlook 2003 / 2007 as a POP3 Client. Your email account is also accessible via the web browser (Webmail) at the URL: http://mail.yourdomain.com

  1. Launch Outlook.
  2. Click Tools. Then select Email Accounts (In Outlook 2007, select “Account Settings” - New)
  3. Select Add a new email account
  4. Click Next
  5. Select POP3
  6. Click Next
  7. Enter your Name and Email Address in the User Information Section
  8. Enter the Server Information as follows:
    a. Incoming POP3 mail server: mail. yourdomain.com
    b. Outgoing SMTP mail server: smtp.broadband.rogers.com
  9. Enter your Logon Information as follows:
    a. Username: Enter your full e-mail address: yourname@ yourdomain.com (for example: Tunde@yourdomain.com)
    b. Password: Enter your account password, check the “remember password box”
  10. Click More Settings
  11. Click the Outgoing Server tab
  12. Check the box next to “My outgoing server requires authentication”
  13. Select “Log on using” – type in your Rogers e-mail address (for example: Tunde@rogers.com), type in your Rogers password, check the “remember password” box.
  14. Click the “Connection tab”, ensure that “Connect using my Local Area Network is selected.
  15. Click the Advanced tab, under “Delivery Options” – We recommend that you uncheck option “leave a copy of messages on the server (this will conserve your mailbox space on the mail server).
  16. Click OK
  17. Click Next
  18. Click Finish

(Rogers requires all 3rd party POP3 accounts leveraging their network to be verified)
